TIL "lucky" is a synonym for "reckless and selfish".
Exactly. Shits not good.
It's not like you're trying to hide from the gym Gestapo, you're hiding from a virus.
There is legitimate concern of getting seriously ill over the thing, as healthy people ,such as fitness trainers have gotten it and contracted ammonia with it simultaneously. Those people legitimately thought they were going to die.
COVID-19 can live on surfaces for long periods of time, esp. those metal barbells. It lives up to 72 hours on steel.
Unless you have a VERY small group of people (like, 1-2), and they're cleaning that crap regularly, I would say it's not worth it.
Plus, you don't know what each of them are doing in their free time. Now you're touching surfaces that they've touched and exposed with their sweat, etc.
Just seems like a virus' dream place to breed.
That's my take on it.
