Office uses teamviewer.

I currently use my laptop to log into my office desktop via teamviewer.

Planning on using my desktop at home to log in to the office desktop the same way.

Will this create the ability for the IT guy to be able to log into my own desktop computer at home?

yes and no, if they exploit it and you leave sessions open yes.
but generally no.

What do you mean by exploit it?

Currently it is (connection)

My Laptop ======> Office PC <====== IT PC

worried it can be circumvented as

My Laptop<============It PC

Stop over thinking it... just close TV when your not using it, issues solved.

So long as the program itself is closed, it cannot be 'rebooted' up without being physically in front of my pc?

I know I shouldn't overthing, but I don't want my IT to see me watching porn or playing warzone lmao

Home PC (windows) ====Connect to====> Work PC (windows)

My concern was
Home PC (windows) ====Connect to====> Work PC (windows)
and
IT PC (windows) ====Connect to====> Work PC (windows)

Effectively being

Home PC (windows) ====Connect to====> Work PC (windows) <====Connected from====IT PC (windows)

Does that allow IT PC to backdoor or whatever the lingo is, to the home pc?

Why don't you just use RDP?

Per King Atrhur, if you close a session, you have nothing to worry about. The other side (IT PC) cannot open the connection to your Home PC if Teamviewer is not running as far as I know.
