Padded robe's are more useful defensively, however at level 10 most players would still be using +str or +dex as mobs dont really do any damage at that level if you 1-2 shot them all.
Also several of us have massive respect for you climbing to MQ with that level 40 weapon, you do realise heavy weapons attack slower? If you're interested in an improvement there's a few level 40-50 weps with ~50ee. i'd recommend the 58ee level 50 sword at 20 fg.
Yup, this is correct. It's still possible for that robe to sell, but it won't be because it's useful.
As for the heavy weapon, yes, it attacks slower, but with the rewrite change of heavy weapon speed from 2.0 sec/attack to 1.8 sec/attack in addition to the way that defense works in LS (subtracting defense value from damage value once per attack for both players and monsters), and because your overall gear/damage is on the lower end, meaning damage reduction by monster armor is a bigger factor, you will probably do more damage with that heavy weapon than with the upgrade mclarke is proposing. It is still harder to get to town with a heavy weapon though, so there's that
E: Also I just realized that the 58 ee lvl 50 sword up for 20 fg is one I just found last night.
