The last couple weeks I've seen a few posts that I thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't want to quote and spam said topic, but I think a "like" or "lol" or even just a way to +1 a post would be beneficial.

thank you for the link. i have to agree with op in that link tho. i can see where it could motivate a few people to spam more, because their last spam post got "likes" but thats where a warn would come in. i came up with the idea while reading some posts in a thread on a trading forum, that i enjoyed, or shared an opinion with, but i had no way to "show" it without spamming the thread.

also iso a reason why it isnt even being considered. is it too hard to code? does it make posts take up more space on servers? ive very little coding experience, so im oblivious to these types of factors. but again i agree with op in above thread that "this isnt facebook" isnt a valid reason. if paul just doesnt want to deal with it, that would be more valid than "this isnt facebook"

thats all. im down to continue a conversation about said topic if anyone would like.

It won't be added cause this isn't Twitter, facebook, Instagram, etc.
It's a gaming forum, not a social media site.

If Paul wanted to deal with it, we would have it.
Facebook is a good example when talking about "liking" a post, don't you think?

I never said it wasn't a good example. Of course it is. But for it be used as an example, it would be more like "we won't implement it because on Facebook it ""enter reason here""". That's like someone saying we should add a search function (which we have but using as an example), and someone replies "no, this isn't google.". That's not using Google as an example. That's just stating an obvious fact.

Sure.

A search function is actually useful though.
Liking a post is just copying facebook or a forum that has it and adds nothing useful.

"Hi man, I liked your post".

Thanks for taking the time to make a site suggestion. As mentioned in the link referenced in post #2, it won't happen.
