I have a redcat blackout 1/10 brushless with few upgrades does like 40ish mph

And I have a brushless older model helion buggy it did 20mph out of box and now it does 70mph with a GPS on it. With 4s lipo battery and ebay motor and esc.

The redcat is fun because 4wd, but the reason I was posting is the electric stuff has come a long way to were using gas now is almost pointless. And so few parts on electric they last a long time. As apposed to constantly cleaning the gas ones so they don't lock up or run bad.

I really like that mines gas though but the great thing is that it's actual gas not a nitro one, it take 25:1 mix like an outboard boat motor, the add ons are pretty sweet i think i like building and adding things to it more then driving it lol. I have made almost everything on it aluminum. You can really see the sizr of it compared to my dryer lol

I run a 1/10, but please stay away from metal parts. Only a few pieces of the car need to be metal.

I don't run gas, but I can say this from experience, stay away from bling. Learn you rig before you upgrade it, I'd start with smaller things like shocks, servo, BEC, and then go for the full on upgrades.
