D2JSP has decent trading section and currency so people assume they are able to trade.
Single player is different but they use what they have at the moment

so OP should spend a few K fg on an enigma because thats best, right?

SNG's job is to inform people what item is best, not demand that they follow that advice. if OP wants to use vmagi/skullders because thats what they have or can afford then so be it.

we're like 5 days into ladder, so ofc all of the questions coming in will be in the context of new ladder chars.

that's what I do. self make stealth and smoke while levling/gearing, buy a cheap vmagi once prices drop. multi pc Tals build once price on that drops. i dont bother with enigma for a ladder char until they're dirt cheap, but that's just me.

non ladder = enigma all day
