But he isn't an All-Star or top 20 NBA player so how could he be Ben Simmons.

Whooooosh

Ben Simmons was an all star. Playing like doodoo this year

In b4, he’s playing out of his mind on defense

He's not playing like dodoo though lol. I mean the team has a lot of mouths to feed, the entire starting lineup is averaging between 14-22 PPG. Ben is just taking fewer shots per game than he ever has in his previous two seasons, he's taking the fewest shots per game among the starters. He's only taking 10.2 shots per game this season so far, where as he averaged 12.2 and 12.3 FGA per game in his first two seasons.

He's shooting a career high 57% from the field, averaging a career high 8.4 assists per game. Averaging 14.0 PPG, 8.4 APG, 7.0 RPG, 2.3 SPG.

But yes, defensively he's better than ever for sure. He wasn't kidding when he said he wanted to make a run for DPOY. Playing lock down defense, active as hell, and he's leading the NBA in steals per game as a 6'10'' point guard defending the opposing teams best players on a nightly basis.

But please, tell me more about how I'm into meth for stating something that is so obvious (apparently not to you though)....

yes, Ben Simmons is arguably a top 20 NBA player.

I cant stand seeing points about Simmons FG% when the guy takes 99% of his shots within 8 feet

Nothing special about it

Ill understand someday

57% of his shot attempts are at the rim....

Which, let me remind you, last season 57.3% of Giannis shot attempts were within 3 feet of the rim.

Also, what does that have to with anything? A bucket is a bucket, shooting in the paint or at the rim are also the most contested shots you can take in the game...if a guy can finish at the rim over guys and through contact then do it.

I'll take a guy knowing his strengths and playing within his game, rather than trying to be a fancy highlight reel and taking low % fade away jump shots....

It's impressing when it's 30+ a game on a nightly basis. Simmons a is lucky if he scores half that.

So it's not impressive when a guy isn't forcing the ball and avoids taking bad shots?

I mean Ben Simmons is only taking 10 shots a game lol....Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, Josh Richardson and Al Horford all take more shots per game than him.

I wish Simmons would be more aggressive, because we've seen how he is when he's angry and gets going. But the guy has a pure point guard mentality and certainly is always looking for his teammates trying to set guys up, sometimes he's too unselfish.
