the game *was* one of my favorite ARPG's. i sunk around 5k+ hours and 400+ dollars or so on MTX. my account was locked for "real money trading" and even after pleading with support, they 1 and done BBQ'd my account. i'd have kept playing too, but i feel buttfuttered as a consumer over this. i used d2jsp with d2 and d3 no problem, but somehow d2jsp "damages the economy of PoE" even though they reset it every 3 months.

Path of exile has never ever been my favorite game to play. There has always been many things about playing it that I hated and not in a good way causing me to quit the game for months on end.
- Terrible coding leading to server side lag and disconnects and even worse on the client side.
- Not a single person on the development team knowing what the term balance means.
- Awful PR and abysmal moderation in the places where most of their community interacts.
Is an incredibly short list of things that have plagued this game during its entire lifetime.
-i thought the tencent buyout would lead to better servers but it never did. performance is so bad that it's become a meme on reddit for past few months.
-i wish there were more than a couple of really good builds to play each league. their idea of balance is rotating flavor of the month builds around, when the best way to go imo is to have multiple meta builds. you should be able to build a Molten Strike jugg if you want still, or a Tec Slam build but they've both been nerfed to crap. imagine how boring d2 would be if only hammerdins and summoner necros could really hang in end-game.
-support is super friendly when it comes to you spending money on MTX, but other than that every encounter i've had with support or people with GGG tags in-game makes me think that about 9/10 of them are d-bags.
