California's so-called assault weapons ban has been struck down in federal district court. It will certainly be appealed, but the lawsuits post-Heller are chugging along. This same judge previously struck down California's magazine capacity limits, a decision upheld by a 3 judge panel at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and now headed for an en banc panel at that same court.
