I'm not quite sure what to think of it, but I am rather annoyed at how the first few days has gone.
I know it is still early, but I feel like every single game has been a camp fest. Can't even tell you how many games have not even reached the score limit.
You're obviously always going to have "campers" in the game, but the gameplay itself has been focused on literally not moving.
I have never really seen this in COD. I haven't really played any of them the last 5+ years, so maybe I'm out of the loop.
I was really looking forward to the old style COD with the run and gun feel.

Maps don’t bug me really. Honestly the gun balance seems like shit, every lobby is nothing but people using the M4. Does anyone know if there is skill based matchmaking? This is really one of my first FPS games I’ve played on PC, I was playing with one of my console buddies for a long sitting around release and I was doing pretty well. After that sitting, every lobby I get into now I just get straight lasered by everyone lol (including lobbies with a hefty number of console players). I’m definitely not great, but I’m wondering if that initial sitting playing against shitty console players now has me matching good players only? I’m truly not good so this kinda blows lmao. I don’t recall any cod like this in the past where I literally never see a bad player now.

The gameplay is fun. Always a fan of hardcore domination or hardcore TDM in this franchise. Imo makes weapons more balanced it’s always pretty much 1 shot 1 kill and not being a bullet sponge.

However, the maps are so big and terribly designed that the game is pretty much a camping ground. Given the cross platform feature I find it odd I can never get into a full game and usually the time runs out while I spend the whole time running in circles and getting shot in my back or spawn camped.

Could be I just suck at the game but the overall multiplayer experience is pretty shit.

Without a true dead silence there's no real way to counter campers who have claymores/hardened/etc. They just sit up in areas, claymore up, and sound whore or hard scope angles.

I think they tried to do too much with this game. There's way too many angles to get hit from when trying to cap objectives or move around a map. SMG's are severely under-rated at the moment and I had to significantly altar my play-style from run and gun to a more "tactical" approach I guess. Especially as a solo, shit's tough.

nvm. this might actually be worse than the beta.

Gameplay is great but the campers are out of control lol
