I have the light on in my car but i wanna take it off and sell it

is there anyway to make the light go away i cant afford to fix the car i wanna sell it

i have a old car 2000's toyota

pre 1994 ish cars/trucks have obd 1 and cars/trucks after that are obd2. take it to auto zone or Orilleys and have them scan the car and see whats wrong. if they can clear the code have them do it. but sounds kinda shady to sell it with a known issue.

They do it for free, figure out the code and go from there. Don't try to screw someone over... It's easier than it looks

horrible way to sell a car, real car enthusiasts will point out the problem or fix it before selling, but hey be my guess.
if ur odb2, just plug up a diagnosis reader (buy a shit one for 40-50 from autozone, or rent one), and clear code yourself rite before you sell the car.
obd1 take your negative battery cable off for 10-15mins, it'll reset ECU, but also reset w/e else on the car.

Chances are that the check engine will come back on quickly depending on the code. Lets say the guy take the car out for a little drive before buying it its prob gonna come back

lol my buddy gave me a bunch of scanners. I guess you can get it checked out free anywhere now days but don't hide it wtf you asshole.
