Just caused an international incident. Tweeted out support for Hong Kong, China reacted hard. Pulling sponsors and denouncing Morey, basically calling for him to be fired. NBA does a lot of business with China especially the rockets. Apparently they are considering firing him over the tweet.

It is a complicated issue for the NBA. They cannot bow to an authoritarian Regime and do as they wish, and yet they make a significant amount of revenue from China which is being threatened, all over a tweet. The NBA is the most progressive league in sports and yet it is still run my billionaire scumbags that only care about money at the end of they day.

I personally don’t think Morey will be fired as he would be picked up immediately by another team unless the NBA went all out and blackballed him as China wants. Not to mention their biggest fan base, the USA, would likely boycott in large numbers if they did in fact cave to the scum bags in China
