i think OP talk about on screen damage.
it's also true that even if we talk about true damage it wouldn't compete with a perfect rare warpike/thundermaul if we take in account full equip (with other sources of ds/cb)

I think with that hybrid your inventory is more customizable and you can easily reach 100% DS and 100% CB with only G-Face and Gores and have free amul slot for +skills vs 67%DS and 50% CB with RARE-setup.
rare eth warpike with 550%ED deals - 1028 average damage + 67% DS= 1717 dam.
Death of Doom deals 764 average damage +100%DS =1528 dam.
But DoD got 100% cb vs 50% CB on ethRare... and Hybrid got space for +skills amul or Atma amp.

a thundermaul/wp has ~15% more base damage compared to an axe.
again, if we're not theorycrafting about on screen dmg, i would LoLo the 450% ed rare instead of OhmOhm it

Nah...even with that you got capped CB on 50% or 60% with Toes, but that lowers your DS...

frankly speaking, who cares about cb out of pvm?
specially on such weapon when you have 100% ds
