So I was wondering what does an aftermarket mid pipe look like on the inside?
Do they have like a whole bunch of little rivet holes?

What is so much better about buying an aftermarket mid pipe than just straight piping?

Aftermarket midpipe is going to have all the flanges on the outside so it can hang properly underneath your vehicle.

Straight piping it you would need to secure it to your vehicle on your own because obviously it wont have flanges on the outside.

As far as what they look like inside they both will look the same.

Why the Hell do people spend like hundreds of dollars for a mid pipe when muffler shops charge like 100 - 150 for something like this?

I agree that straight pipe does sound like crap but I am just straight piping the mid pipe while keeping the axle back exhaust on.

It gives in a nice sound without rasp or obnoxiously loud like straight pipes.

mid pipes really only come in handy when say going from a 2inch exhaust to a 2.5 inch exhaust.

I did not know that the larger the diameter of the pipe that performance actually increases.

I will most definitely ask for a 2.5 if possible, dude quoted me $80!! God damn name brands are going fore $370 just for some flanges?

I doubt anyone gonna tig weld a stainless steel mid pipe for 80$

So you think they are using some cheaper metal if it is that cheap for a mid pipe?

Guess I will have to ask if it is stainless, I will be even happier for $80 if it is... =)
