non-action superhero content was a fairly revolutionary idea at the time. The idea of Superman taking backseat to Clark Kent was great.

But now that we've gotten used to modern drama, anything pre-Sopranos just feels procedural and basically unwatchable. Plus we have porn now so there's no draw in seeing Teri Hatcher flash her cleavage around.
