today i've played with my summoner necro for fun and got my army of revives and skeletons together.
while playing, i didnt tele for some reason (probably too lazy or wat) but walked instead.
on the map, i saw that my revives were far away because i run away too fast (>3 screens distance),
and after a few seconds, boom, all my 38 revives died at once :fume: :mad:
is this a bug maybe? because my oak, golem and skeletons were still alive. i've observed that unlike revives,
these 'pets' kinda teleport inside you when you try to get away from them by walking/running.
is that the reason that they didn't die while the revives died? or what could be the reason? can you call that a bug...?

iron golems, valks and shadow warriors/shadow masters have the same problem. I'm sure skeles do it too sometimes but I've only really noticed when it's a summon I care about
It's probably an intentional feature left over from classic where necros couldn't teleport, summons couldn't be walked through and a stuck summon was just a potential nuisance.

I've lost a lot of expensive iron golems this way

I think it might be intentional, although for what reason I can't imagine.

I was reading on arreat summit the other day and it made a special mention on revives and how they are not as "smart" as other minions and will need to be replaced when they "wander off".

That would be conducive to my experience with them :p

I’ve noticed they’re not very good at avoiding obstacles (including walls). If you walk a screen or two away and check the minimap they’ll often be bouncing against a wall or hopelessly lost by the baffling labyrinthine trickeries of an open doorway.

Yeah it's weird skels and revives behave very differently for seemingly no reason. :ph34r:

I've noticed if I'm running a long distance they will keep up and teleport to me maybe once or twice, then after that they are history.

Your minions got unspawned(deleted) after 5.120 seconds because there are no player within range of those minions (50 x,y radius)

It is obvious that revives have abandomnent issues. Rather than speak up and tell you why they desire to wander off when you have walked away, revives just silently leave.
