Sixers will probably have the best defense in the NBA, or top 3 at minimum. They literally removed every weak defender from their roster and added multiple good/great defenders (in the rotation and on the bench).

No more JJ getting exploited every year in the playoffs.

Hands down the biggest fix was getting another good big man that can play center when Embiid is off the floor. That was without a doubt the biggest hole the Sixers had to fix, and ultimately THE reason they didn't advance.
