I’ve used the same computer since 2011 and I think it’s time to upgrade...

I want to have the 144hz experience with nice FPS.

I would like the tower to be around 2000 and any monitor within the 100-500$ price range

Any help is appreciated,

Thanks!

Budget: 2000$
More specific use (what games, what programs): Good FPS 144hz Gaming, maybe streaming and photoshop
Planned time until purchase: Whenever build is ready, ASAP
Do you need an Operating System?: Yes unless I can use my old WIN10 Key from other computer
Do you have any specific preferred components?: Good graphics/processor
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: no but I could use a new wireless card.
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: No plans for OC but I don’t mind being equipped for it Incase
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: 144hz monitor with separate budget of 100-500$
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): no concern, Maryland.

IF you can't use your old Win 10 key... you can get one from ebay for like... $5

/e If it absolutely has to be under $2500 (with monitor)... here's with out the RGB RAM... https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Q3bNXP Actually this RAM has slightly slower timings...hence the lower price.

/e The monitor I put in the build has freesynce and IPS panel...if you want gsync and TN panel... https://pcpartpicker.com/product/7HFXsY/acer-predator-xb241yu-238-2560x1440-165hz-monitor-xb241yu-bmiprz

With the freesync, IPS monitor, the cheaper RAM, and 2TB storage drive...

This looks spot on to what I need.

I am not sure about the gsync stuff... I haven't looked into tech but all I know is I saw 144hz in person and I am upset I haven't upgraded my pc yet lol.

Thank you for all this.

No problem. Might wanna do a google search for: Gsync, is it necessary... or similar... make up your own mind. All I know for sure is, that we didn't have any problems before there was gsync or freesync. :)

I too like to throw away money but god damn old man you take it to the next level and you don't even have experience with the tech you refer. kek.

Add in w/e monitor you want and a few case fans.
I'm not up to date on best monitors atm, do some research and find

4k ram is a joke.
paying more for full modular vs semi is also a joke when you need the semi cables anyways (8pin cpu+24pin power).
that mobo is expensive cause brand and for extreme oc which you clearly aren't doing.
SSD is a solid brand but is it worth almost double, god no.
200$ for a case and he's not even custom water cooling? why...
3fan gpu vs 2 fan gpu for literally 2$ difference, but its EVGA so to him that means its better.
