The character in question is a level 60 hardcore poison necro on unmodded single player. Below are screenshots of each weapon and what the merc stat screen looks like with that one equipped.



The merc has no ias from other items. I believe, based on my research (please correct me if I'm mistaken) that the weapon speeds differ as follows:

Soul Branch has 20 fpa. Storm Bar has 15 fpa. Meat scraper has 14fpa.

The magic find is not a throw-away stat for me as my merc lands plenty of kills. I'm not sure how to value the 50% open wounds in terms of overall damage. My necro doesn't farm bosses, I focus on mob groups for farming and generally only kill high-hp bosses once, for the quest progression.

Which weapon would help my merc deal the most damage and survive the best by leeching more? If possible, please explain your decision.

Definetly not soul branch

Id say storm bar has highest dps so use that
You should be killing things quicker than open wound helps
