Regarding thundergods:

Average damage of a burning soul in a player 8 game is 345. If you use a perfect vipermagi that leaves 332 damage left. Then 75% is subtracted (resistances) leaving 83 damage. If you are not using a wisp protector then you subtract 20 from 83 (absorb integer) resulting in you healing +20 hp, leaving 63 damage applied to you.

If you put a Lo rune in your vipermagi you would take 66 damage without using thundergods which is basically the same but you open up the option of using a different belt to help strengthen your character further.

Also honestly %dr is not that useful with monsters damage being so low so I would suggest using something else. I never use stormshield or have max block on my sorceresses when playing hardcore and have yet to die.

More build? States skills?

Best set up is pure DPS 50k lightning damage.
You can kill everything in the game before it even touches you with the exception of ubers.

I played HCL for years and this was the only way to do it.
