Looking to spend around ~$1,500 USD for a new pc. First time building my own and will be mostly used for gaming. Have multiple computer shops around as well (3.g., Frys and Micro center) so I can always drive and get parts of cheaper. Thank you!

Budget: ~$1,500 USD
More specific use (what games, what programs): Just any games in general
Planned time until purchase:asap
Do you need an Operating System?: yes
Do you have any specific preferred components?: nope
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: yes?
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: possibly interested in over locking in future (never tried);
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard? Not part of budget
Zip code/location? Zip code 90630

I live pretty close to frys and micro center as well! As you can tell, I have never built my own computer and not very knowledgeable so I will do my best to answer any further questions.

for now, I was planning on buying the GeForce gtx 2070 super and Ryzen 3600x cpu.

This is your best bang for your buck and out performs the above rig.
card not in stock so your ass be waiting, along with amd cpu's which are not as good as intels still.

If your dead set on amd chips your going to be waiting and i'd only suggest it if you stream.
