100$ every 3 to 4 months ( harvest )
on say 2 acres of land
I don't know how profitable any seeds are or anything, but say you are growing corn
how much roi do you think the land will give you
say you had enough to cover initial start up how long until a profit is made? doing all the labor yourself

If you don't have machinery, it's impossible to harvest it all in time. This is why farming food is the least profitable business model.

Weed or tobacco on the other hand is good plan even alone and no machines.

In your situation, stick to trailers and tents.

I would aim for a self sustaining homestead and branch out from a strong foundation

find out what you're in to whether it's farming or ranching plants/animals find the passion and build from there

if you keep it to you as labor or maybe a wife/gf/family whatever situation you have it allows a lot of options and freedom

you want land with water it'll become more valuable and it will stay usable

you don't want to rely on water from somewhere else or someone else

make yourself a little hippie farm grow what you need and can in your area get a few animals put your heart into it and find out local demand so you can start supplying a little

good land with water is the long term investment, I'm a keep it for many years kinda guy but these days depending on the state land is easy to flip with all the demand in a couple years

The markets for corn fluctuate between 3.80$ a bushel and 4~
On 2 acres you would spend more on herbicides and pesticides to have a good yeld per acre
If you can average 100 bushels an acre you could make maybe 1000$ provided corn is up.

Seed corn is expensive but you’ll get more of a return
Same with soybeans

You are a crazy person to farm anything for profit alone. That is my only advice. I dont know anything about the profit margins but i do know about the work. Hand tilling two acres is like...insane.
