I have an issue with my nvidia control panel opening and closing while loading up and I cannot fix it
My nvidia geforce experience opens up but when i right click desktop and open nvidia control panel it just pops up and closes right away and nothing happens
I don't really know what is causing this issue,
I'm trying to change a few settings that i can only access through this control panel to play csgo =(
im pretty sure my monitor is set at 60hz when it should be 144hz

Also for some reason whenever I try to open anything from my device manager nothing happens, cant open properties or anything like that
I had the same issue when I tried to play diablo 2 again and wanted to make it windowed mode, I couldn't open properties for whatever reason and I had to download some program that launches windowed for me >.<

Something is wrong with my pc and I'm not sure how to fix this
Will tip good fg whoever knows whats up (will sell gold and get some for you)
maybe its windows 10 update maybe its my hard drive

Could be many things tbh, best option imo is a format.
If you feel its the update you can roll back and apply deffered updates.

Doesn't seem like an hardware problem to me.
Most likely Software related. (Windows 10, bad driver, virus, etc etc ...)

Have you tried using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to completely remove your Nvidia driver and install a fresh copy of the driver?
if not i would highly suggest to start with that.

Follow these steps :
1. Go on Nvidia website and download the latest driver for your Graphic card.
2. Install DDU
3. Wipe everything.
4. Reboot your PC
5. Install the fresh driver.

If you can't open the Control panel than, just lmk and well try something else.

Also to set your panel refresh rate to 144hz you don't need to use the Nvidia control panel.
You can do it directly on Windows by following this guide : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-change-monitor-refresh-rate-windows-10

4. Reboot your PC into SAFE MODE WITHOUT NETWORKING!
5. Run DDU, clean uninstall drivers, REBOOT IMMEDIATELY when prompted, reboot again into normal Windows.
6. Install the fresh driver.

see BOLD. You MUST Clean Uninstall your GPU drivers. Not being in safe mode (IE: having the drivers UNLOADED) interferes with what DDU does.

IF you do not have safe mode access, tick Safe Boot in MSConfig. UNDO THAT CHANGE WHEN DDU FINISHES PRIOR TO REBOOTING.

you can force safe mode in windows 8/10 by cutting power 3 times during boot.
in older os's just rapidly hit f8.

Yo so this actually worked, I can now open nvidia control panel which is all I needed
I downloaded that driver online but it seems like it didnt install everything so im currently updating through geforce experience client to get the latest update
My monitor was indeed set to 60hz this whole time >.< and I can now play csgo with my preferred resolution
One more thing is that I still can't open up properties on my windows icons but that's not really important at the moment I will try to fix that another time

tbh thats the most concerning part of the whole thing , hence me saying to format.

you can try a "sfc /scannow" from cmd as admin though which may resolve it.
