Gold: Locked

We must value that you will need a minimum of gold to create a stable amount of gold, I can be wrong, but I do not think anyone sell gold before reaching 60, because if you sell the gold you have, you can not buy skills etc

So considering that, I think there will not be gold sellers in the first month of play

Plus you need 80 gold at level 40 and 800?(i could be wrong on that) at level 60 for your mounts. Those are must haves if you want to continue to farm gold.

Epic mount isn’t really a must have to farm but I do agree.
No one will be selling gold unless they have no intentions of playing & are just looking to make quick fg

Maybe warlocks / Paladins will sell early on because they get 60% mount free :P
so they can earn some easy FG and then hold them and rebuy gold a few weeks later and for maybe double what they sold.

All these ratios are fair if there is no such thing as this one. These services can influence the currency badly.

I think people are underestimating the value of 1 gold. The guesses in this thread seem low to me.

Most everyone is going to feel pressure to progress their character as fast as possible. 1 gold goes a long way, even for a level 30 character. Rushing to level means you'll have a harder time keeping up with the gold you need for skills. It's reasonable to imagine a level 30 char who rushed there might be flat broke, meaning that his need for 1g is even greater than a level 10 char's need for it.

Character progress is exponential. People who see a nice level 20 green weapon on the AH are going to want that weapon really badly since they knew it will increase their progression speed. Seeing all the uses for gold is really going to light a fire under people. The need for instant gratification is a powerful tool.

1g = 80-100 fg. itll settle around here.

first couple of weeks 1g = 300 fg+ but like arch said. Doubt noone will be selling too much in the start because you need gold to become efficient enough to farm gold.

It's all about supply and demand though. If gold is too expensive nobody is going to buy it
