From 0:50 to 1:30 was what bothered me the most about this movie

In some movies (and a LOT of TV shows), main female characters are way too emotional and do illogical things. In this movie it's like she's not emotional at all but they keep telling her she is. Like they tried to purposefully play on the trope and failed, making it even worse.

Honestly, I thought she was perfectly cast, it was a good film. Yvonne Strahovski would have worked well, Emily Blunt not so much. Out of all the options I think they got the actress right.

In terms of how the character was written, some of the issues you mentioned were a bit forced and annoying.

The actress was fine, the character that they gave her was just cheeks

Not much she can do about that
