um well, its unpopular for a reason the most common noob mistake in poe is to think "wow so many customization options, i bet if im smart enough i can think of something that will work no matter what class i take !"

well you cant skill tree might be huge, but over 90% of the nodes are shit and no one uses them. also over 90% classes are shit and no one uses them. and if you try, your char will be shit... now when i think about it, the game is actually one of the least customizable games of the kind, i mean you can make all sorts of gimmicky builds, but you wont really get far with them. this isnt grim dawn where any class can actually work if you build it right

in your case, raider is first of all very squishy. and as you said "I prefer slow but steady instead of speedclearing and squishy (i know its slow build)", raider is literally the worst class for this. it is the fastest class, if theres a class that defines the term "speedclearing and squishy", its raider maybe just embrace the squishiness and use frost blades or something? thats good on a raider
