You do not. I recieved many while unsubbed. Make sure your beta preferences are set though! It's in alpha right now I bet classic wont' be dropping until Mid september. They will give us long enough to hit 60 on beta.

Have fun with the next 3 months leveling to get to 60 and grind out the same 16 dungeons for the rest of your life. Classic is also based on the most imbalanced PvP patch in the history of Vanilla. 40% of the playerbase was Warrior. Best of luck

I don't understand why people are hyped about classic beta. Usually you get to test new content, but in this case you know exactly what the game is going to be, and all of your toons will get wiped before release. What's the point?
