I think you're overly paranoid here. AD has repeatedly mentioned LA as his dream destination, what reason do you have for him leaving?

I suppose it's possible that AD joins LA, they fall flat with like a 7th seed or something along those lines and get bounced early. Even under those conditions it's hard to imagine him wanting to leave immediately

my theory is that the Celtics aren't actually serious and when it comes to the finish line they won't be willing to give up what it would require (probably Tatum + Brown)

Ainge just wants to 1) increase the asking price and 2) be mentioned in trade talks so he can claim that he was involved but couldn't justify the value

well I wouldn't completely rule out Boston, it is certainly reasonable that Ainge has saved his assets for Anthony Davis. there is also pressure for Ainge to make a move after a down year & passing on Kawhi, Butler, and George.
