Right now in Asia server, after several weeks of server issues since Feb. 14th server maintenance.
We no longer can identify a game's IP.
Blizzard does not indicate that they intended to change how the game is played, but as you guys know if you cannot identify game IP it will change how you guys do uber diablo events.
All the games have the same IP now in Aisa realm, 150 or 50 (depending on what blizzard is doing at the other end, some days 150 some other days 50).
This IP is the IP for the server acting as gateway and/or distributor, this server will spread the games being created equally among all the actual game servers behind it.
So not only are you not able to see the IP of actual game server to join an uber event, as people in the uber ip games increases, less likely are you to create a game in that server, because the distributor will not flood one server with games but spread them.
Annihilus charm prices have increased dramatically since this happened.
People are less likely to hold the uber event, because when you could see the server ip, you could have had multiple games of the same ip before you sell jordans, meaning you can make a profit off of holding the event, now it is almost impossible to do so.
It is possible, which I am not going to disclose here, but this still means normal players will have MUCH less chance of participating.
And as you can see from the blue post the change will happen in other regions as well. Asia server were chosen as a guinea pig imo.
