Looking for some tips/places to start for developing an idea I have. I'd like to animate and do a voice over for what would be a series of 1-3 minute length videos.

I've watched a few different videos, and I think some form of 2D is what I'm most interested in. I saw recommendations
for Adobe CS3, but I am unfamiliar with how to use this w/o digging deep into my wallet.
