I wouldn't consider this one of those realistic injuries. Very rare injury and not something that happens to a 19 year old often at all in basketball. Only achilles tears I can think are Kobe, Cousins, Billups, Wall, and Gay. I know there are more than that most likely.

Anyways if he were to tear his achilles I don't think he gets dropped. It would raise some red flags for sure if a guy that size will regain all of his athleticism so, it would be possible. But if he still recovers to 90% isn't he still the top prospect of upside?

There is a big difference from being a preseason potential number #1 pick when they have only watched them play against high school players and where Zion is right now near the end of the season. MPJ has one of those career altering injuries with the back issues. Core issues never work out in sports if they are chronic. Sure if Zion were to mess up his back like Porter did he probably would fall in the draft. But in my previous statement I said a realistic injury, meaning a more likely one. Something like ankle or knee related.

I don't just because of how people are recovering from ACL's in the past 5 years or so. Like Adrian Peterson in football. The surgeries are much less evasive than in the past. Porzingus is taking his time coming back. Also I don't know who the prospect to over take him would be. Who would jump him in your opinion if that were to happen?
