Here is a very powerful guide for sorceress.
You will use Frozen orb.
You will have a 95% energy shield (skill level 40).











Gear:

Helm:
rare diadem 2sorceress 20fcr 2sockets
socketed with 5-5 cold RainBow Facet (rbf) x2

Amulet:
crafted amulet 2sorceress 20fcr 20@res

Weapon:
rare sorceress orb: 2sorceress 3ice orb 3cold mastery 3energy shield 1-2os
socketed with 1-2 cold facet
if you can't find this kind of orb, you can use death fathom but you will need to reach energy shield level 40 with skillers or precast

Armor:
Venom Ward socketed with um

because you really need to prevent the poison from killing you
venom ward + prayer from your mercenary will keep you alive for ever !

Shield:
Spirit monarch 35fcr

Gloves:
frostburn
+40% mana

Belt:
arach

Rings:
2x soj

Boots:
aldur boots (10% damage goes to mana)
you can also use tri res boots: fire/cold/light

Charms:
torch

Mercenary (normal difficulty ---> type combat: aura Prayer).
Prayer regens your life and use your mana.

Post Scriptum: I know the monsters can't have a very low resistance. (-100 is the minimum)
But this character is not only for pvm, but also for pvp.

With this build, you have cold mastery level 44 (-235%).
4facets in your orb & diadem (-20%)
for a total of -255%.

Yes, I am serious.
The kill speed is rather slow, but the character is so resistant, it's a pleasure to play it


This kind of sorceress never dies !
That's a real pleasure for me.

I used to play resistant characters like hammerdin & ... hammerdin & ... hammerdins.

But this sorceress is really fun.
Because she never dies.

However, there is still a risk.
Mana burn is a problem for the sorceress.



WARNING:
If you get 0 mana & some monster hurts you, your mana shield will be removed.
So, be careful & drink mana poots again & again.

Your health should never decreases.
Only your mana will decrease slowly.

Diablo literaly can not kill you !
Baal can kill you after a while, because he can remove your shield with the help of his mana burn.
But it's very difficult for him to remove your shield: he needs his clone to burn your mana while he attacks you.

3500 mana is a bit too much, I think you will have around 2500 mana (the amount is false on the picture).
2500/0.75 = 3333health point

That's a lot.

Moreover, your mana will regenerate quickly because of warmth.
And mana poots are more efficient than health poots.

So, seriously, you will be very resistant.



I don't think any monster can kill you with your shield on.
But be careful with the dolls: they can remove your shield very fast.

If you have troubles, you should just run away (your mana will regen fast with a potion).
Then you recast your shield.
And you are super resistant again.

This is one of the best char to play in hardcore in my opinion.

The kill speed is slow.
But you are so resistant that the game is fun.

You don't have damage reduce, but you don't need damage reduce.
(you can put 3 ber on your armor & helmet & 1-2 15@res jewel on your weapon, so yes you can reach ~24damage reduce)
You have low block but you don't need 75% block.

You will take high damage.
But you have a lot of mana.

Diablo literally can't kill any character if you're not an idiot.

Your char is very resistant, but his damages are low.
But I like this build anyway.

You don't need lvl 44 CM in pvm.

Advantages I see:
- the character can teleport very fast
- you are very resistant, almost unkillable (poison length reduced by 75%, damage reduced by 40%)
- you have a ton of mana, and you cast all the spells you want
- you have a long range & you can kill a lot of monsters (big Area Of Effect)
- you bring a nice aura to your team (prayer)
- you are even more unkillable if someone in your team has the meditation aura
- if there is barbarian in your team, you can use memory in swap instead of CTA (and you can therefore use 8x cold skillers).
