Dont feed the troll. Dude has no idea what he is even talking about. He wasnt even on JSP when paul disappeared for 4+ years without a single post. He clearly has no idea that paul goes MIA from LS constantly and may just be the worlds WORST developer in terms of regular updates and community communication.

I voted yes. I am being hopeful. Even if the events were skilling oriented only that would be fricken awesome... I would love to start muting again. Personally I dont care about the climb xp boosts, the monster difficulty events, the 101 events, or any of that --- but skilling events would be nice and would hopefully spike the number of users who actually skill and make some great glyphs, mutes, and some awesome fish stacks. Razo cant catch them all alone you know!!! I know Subwolf in my guild would sure love for some fishing events as he has been grinding fishing without them forever now it seems and I feel with the work he puts in an event for fishing once a month or something would be real nice for him. I also know that TTim has been putting in some work on his glyphing and hes now able to make some pretty useful glyphs but they could be even better if he was either A.) able to complete them more quickly, or B.) have a glyph prof boost to speed his progression through the tiers. I know Nic has been glyphing like a madman too and hes doing some really epic glyphs right now but it sure would be awesome if he could see some benefit as well especially with all the time he has invested into it (he deserves it).

tl:dr -- I voted yes and thats just me being hopeful. I would like to see them return if only just for the skilling events. Several people would personally benefit from their time invested and the community as a whole would benefit due to quality and quantities available.

Also voted yes, because I think they might be back by the end of 2019 and I hope so. My main reasoning is skilling events. Most of them actually make it slower for you to get prof though.. specially cooking and suffing. They indirectly make it faster for glyphing/muting, by allowing you to do the next tier of items and skip the hard to get arcane items etc. But that mainly works for lower ranks, at higher ranks the items themselves are hard to find so it's not really helping. It works best with fishing, because events allow you to fish really easy at your minimum prof gaining level or if you don't like losing the prof by being too fast, you can adjust it a few levels higher to get your perfect ratio between difficulty/prof gain.

I got 10k+ fishing prof in 1 day a week ago and I thought I could start doing it more seriously again and then bam. Tried it the next day and it was laggier. Then tried it again a couple days ago after I ranked up and it was HORRIBLE, I was out of sync the whole time, had to abort 30% + of the fish and on top of that I kept getting "Escaped Hook" or whatever that thing is called really often. Don't see how this could be my internet, it can't vary that much. Some days are really laggy in ls and others are fine and it's a guessing game which ones will be good enough so I can fish without worrying every time I attempt to fish that I might break my rod.

Having events back will allow people to still skill during laggy days instead of ditching it altogether, therefore boosting the prof gain. I'd much rather fish without worrying the rod might break for 5 - 6 hours and get 80% the prof I normally would, than get 100% in the same amount of time, but be on my toes every single fing time I attempt to fish and mostly catch them with 10-20% of the rod's health bar left.
