Pretty much killed it

The first half was pretty inspirational. The second half was expectedly shilly

I didn't watch, but I think this shows you how Trump could potentially have much more support if he acted like a normal president, and struck some compromises. He's not capable of acting normal though, so I think the knee jerk reaction is to appeal to the people who don't care about his behavior.



Trump trying to be inspirational, or calling for unity is so cringey. We all know who he is... at least own it.

Enjoy whatever bump he gets until he runs his mouth on twitter/fox news again and once again shows he doesn't have the ability to be an adult for longer than 2 days at a time

Like every single time he gets a head pat after staying on script

have to agree, i think he could unify better by being comedic about how divided we are. pepper in a few lines like "now Democrats, I know I'm not your favorite person right now. But let's both strive to do better in working together in the new year." rather than the basic "everything is wonderful, America is great, we're still a world leader" etc platitudes.
