Basically i want a char that will be able to run around anything jump in the middle of tons of mobs and take no damage or heal that damage without having to fight

The caracter can be bad and have no offensive ability I dont care. As long as it can be left there in the middle of tons of mobs and i could leave 5 min and see that its still there.

I did try ES sorc with max PDR / MDR couldnt make it work.

I want one set of « optimal gear »

Anyone have done this before ?

I saw Es sorc ( did not work for me or i screwed something )

Barb ? Not sure how
Blade shield assasin ? Totally clueless.

hoto (best) or Astreon's Iron Ward (second best) or 6os pb with 6x 4rep+resist jewels (yuck)
arkaine's valor with sol rune (best) or gladiator's bane with sol rune (second best)
3 defensive/25 dr ammy
nature's peace x2
tgods or bladebuckle belt or crafted safety belt
crafted safety gloves with % plr and/or rep
crafted safety boots with % plr and/or rep
3 defensive/15 dr/2os shield with optional base resist (best) or 4os/15 dr shield with optional base res (second best) or gerke shield

Since a lot of these items are hard to find, just filling a gris set with sol runes (rep jewels for the weapon) works almost as well (you just lose like 15-20 dr and some mdr)

max prayer
1-20 into cleansing (up to you)
if you don't care about offense at all go ahead and max out your resist auras as well for the passive boost
if you REALLY dont care about offense put the rest into holy shield

get like 3k hp after bo then dump the rest into dex for more defense (which makes your durability last longer)

This build can go afk next to uber diablo/baal, and only mephisto's ice ball attack is really able to do anything to you

An even better version is barb, but it actually requires you to use skills.

3 warcries/25 dr/2os circlet, solsol
gladiator's bane, sol
3 warcries/25 dr ammy
gerke, sol
hoto
tgods
hellmouth gloves
crafted safety boots or double upd hotspurs
nature's peace x2
swap is 2x hoto or 2x warcry sticks depending on your budget

max taunt
max battle cry
max shout
max iron skin
X into natural resist
X into battle orders (you don't lose hp to anything except poison so feel free to have as few points in bo as you want)

Use taunt on anything taunt works on.
Use battle cry on anything taunt doesn't work on.

Note that taunt lasts functionally forever if you're afk, while battle cry only lasts about 1 minute

This is the problem with the es/dr build. Mana burn monsters have a max mana damage of like 20,000 and the max possible mana on ladder isn't even 15k.

When you don't run into mana burn you can see it's literally impossible to die to anything except uber baal's mana draining spell

It bothers me that I've already given you these same builds before and you said the same thing then.

I know i did level a barb a pally and a sorc and gathered all the gears needed x2 i still need ammys tho.

I couldnt find the thread that was long gone in the d2 general discussion.

Tried it on a sorc and it didnt go well. Must have missed something

Also tried a prayer pally and before gearing him realised it really heals for shit. Still bought everything so ill try it anyway

Will also try the barb.

With the setup I listed it should heal 48 health per second, when you barely take that much damage per second as-is

The barb straight-up doesn't take damage from anything if you cast taunt so go wild. I used one back in the day to fix gubers after people fucked them up on purpose since nothing in uber trist could kill him
