Likely something to do with "clear history/cache on exit" or something similar. Internet Explorer has this option too.

Yepp, it's definitely cash. I kinda like hotkeys, here is what you need: Ctrl-Shift-Delete

I'd like to notify you, it's easy to check a page hotkeys, then you have control on the page (ff && chrome):

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly
https://smallbusiness.chron.com/shortcut-clearing-cache-chrome-71211.html

Ahh, and don't forget the best one, CTRL+F, sometimes I have the though I can solve that ugly administration task with CTRL+F-ing on a printed paper. It's like a nightmare when you just can't ..

Maybe you using incognito mode on fire fox by mistake slush? It auto deletes everything after your session is over.
