Weird you mentioned macadamias. If they are roasted and salted, they're the best ever. Otherwise they are like a mouthful of mud. Normal peanuts are the same, but not as good, just normal good. And i don't go for normal. Good to make snickers cake.
Brazil nuts are good raw, chocolate covered damn good, white chocolate covered godly. All other nuts i like plain chocolate covered if so.
Walnuts are good, but can be a bit dry. Very healthy though.
Hazelnuts quite good, but intense taste. Good with chocolate cakes and such.
Cashew is decent raw and very good roasted and salted. Good to use in curry.
Almonds are okay, but can be dry.
Don't think i've tasted anything else, heard of lychee nut but never tasted.
Worked at a candy factory once, part period in the factory and partly in the storage, where i manually unloaded trucks with all kinds of nuts. Including 50 kg bags of hazelnuts, big bastards they were. And 22.50 kg (i think it was) boxes of almonds, which they figured was a great idea to glue together in 4 corners, so you had to drag them apart each one, some job. A whole container worth ^^ But i got her done in a day ^^ With Rammstein on the ear it goes faster.
