What were your favourite films this year, maybe give a top 5 or some picks split it by genre. Personally felt that 2018 was a crappy year for films though.

Mission Impossible Fallout: amazing action sequences, acting and screenplay. My favourite film of the year

Upgrade: really cool futuristic revenge film with a complex and thoughtful plot

Hereditary: So unsettling and weird but in a good way. Best horror I've seen in ages, but not for everyone

Black Panther: I get a lot of people will disagree but I feel it's the strongest marvel film this year and was better than avengers infinity war. People were overrating it at first but now if anything it's underrated

A quiet place: good film but I was struggling for a 5th in my top 5. Annihilation has a more interesting story and takes more risks but at the end of the day I enjoyed a quiet place more

Best movie 2018 for me was Isle of Dogs. Incredible creative, well made, fun and has an interesting story with a lot of parallels to modern politics and society. Amazing movie!
Also enjoyed Upgrade, Hereditary, Sicario 2 and Annihilation but wouldn't go as far as to call them best movie of the year.

Worst one was probably Jurassic World 2. What a mess and what a shitty script and story. It just boggles my mind how bad it is considering it's enormous budget...

I want to see Creed2 because first one was good.
