I've never played in a tournament before but I'd like to have some fun playing in these ESL events.
Any tips / advice as to how I choose decks to bring into the table?
Cheers

Theres alot to consider it really depends on format imo
I typically brought more control decks then agro decks and had it backfire during agro seasons so be wary of that and maybe bring more agro if you can tweak them right

I'm just thinking about trying something different than grinding ranked games.
What do you mean by "tweaking them right"?

Your not going to be facing normal ladder decks it's been along time since i played really competitively so i don't know whats being tech'd in for tournaments these days. If you can find someone playing competitively i suggest running practice against them

I don't know anybody playing competitively.
Why would tournament decks be different than ladder ones? Maybe for bigger tournaments where people know each other that makes sense, but in random ESL tournaments I'd expect a bunch of random people and well - random decks. How can you tweak your deck for such a thing?
I was thinking about picking a few successful ladder decks and going with them. That's a very different and therefore interesting approach you're advising.

It's also why format matters, if you know what your opponent is running you can bring decks tweaked for that matchup. I honestly don't know anything about esl tournaments or anything.

first link after google searching tournament vs ladder grinding. Tbh your best bet is take your decks in and see how you do, adjust and keep playing with them. if you know them in n out you'll feel where your weak or going to lose anyways and can cut cards that might win you a game straight up.

I don't think people would show up. It looks like this subforum is dead and 95% of the discussions held here are about trading quests. The remaining 5% would be topics like this one ^_^
