But your arguement is solid.

No it's not. It's horrendous and completely unsupported by any national figure in both Canada or US. Unfortunelty financial literacy is not taught as part of standard education. People consistently waste in depreciable assets, overindulge in financing and debt resulting in a net deficit position that has to be overcome prior to being able to save anything. Life beyond the means.

The Nasdaq has performed at what 8% or more on average since inception. If that continued you would only have to save 8k per year for 35 years to have over a million.

Peoples current day spending habits are disgusting.

So which option did you pick?

Do you have two commas?
Are you gaining on 8% a year?

Easily over 8. I already said I'd take the money upfront.

I have to deal with the stress of Trump's twitter account infringing on savings.

I mean you could have thrown a dart at a wall last year and made 15 %, vanguards us mkt when up 26 last year.

The last few weeks have been rough but I think it's paved an ideal entry point into Chinese stocks like JD. Marijuana was an absolute ball. Any retard could have told you it was overvalued, multi billion dollar market caps, zero earnings, smart investing right there.

So you don't have two commas then. Get off jsp and go back to work.

I take 30 days off for holidays each year to travel. I'm headed for some skiing in the BC mountains for a while. Haven't done big white yet so that will be new.

I love what's happening here.

Solid. Tight. Arguement.

It’s really not an arguement at all

It's not an argument. I'm aware of national averages. I'm also aware that anyone who has actually worked and will have a million plus in the bank would take it upfront. The rest are lying to themselves.

I grind hard now so I wouldn’t mind knowing what it’s like to have something handed to me, hasn’t really happened yet.

I’m one of those people

Believe it or not, most retirees don’t have a million in anything hell some of them live month to month on bs fixed income and eat cat food. You live in a dream world where everyone retires a millionaire. This question is would you rather have millions given to you or would you rather earn millions. It’s a simple question and tbh a lot of people will answer the opposite of what they have because everyone wants what they don’t have, even if that is a sense of accomplishment. The outcome in said question is supposed to be the same when in reality trust fund is guaranteed rich and work is not.

If you hadn’t noticed we are basically agreeing just in paragraph form, people that have had everything handed to them think they would have rather worked for it to have that sense of accomplishment, people who have and/or are working for it would love to know what it’s like to just have the world handed to them. Most anyways, some that have had it handed to them are satisfied with that as they should be lol.

And I’m not necessarily saying a million is rich but a paid off home and a million in the bank is living comfortably the rest of your life as long as you’re not a total idiot. But the fact of the matter is most people are fucked up and on avg only saved 100k which is an all time high in America. And that is a fact.

I would rather work slow, steady and at an enjoyable pace, and have everyone do that too, so that nobody has to break their backs because others can't keep up. Capitalism is bullshit. Let everyone work at their pace, then everyone can live in harmony ^^

Work is supposed to be psychologically healthy, an expression of personal development. It is not supposed to be a war about money and a rat race to cut in front of the line by being ruthless.
