I don't think so. Whether warranted are not, seed takes huge precedence in the MVP race. 72% win percentage vs under 60% is a big gap. And conference tends to not be a huge factor.

I really don’t get it. During his back to back MVP seasons people were saying he might be better than LeBron. Then as soon as they blew a 3-1 lead and Durant joined the Warriors people started saying he wasn’t even the best player on his team
