i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times with no luck also tried useing original cds and also downloaded right from battle.net

yes with comapt for xp sp2

Try doing this but without the compatibility settings.

if u make it in game window then make it from folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\BNUpdate.exe try to run this update app. for me it always work :)

Disc install? if so you can't update to 1.14a+, you have to convert to digital
