Im running big cams and ported head already, but for a further step im researching information.

My port injected 4 cylinder is going to get an upgrade (dont know how far ill go now) and for safety reasons i'll go for e85 and make a 2nd map for 102 octane pump fuel.

in my experience the bigger the injectors the harder it will be to get a smooth idle. on deka 630's it was really easy to get a smooth idle almost like stock, while with deka 875's it was a pain in the *** (i know 875's have a bad spray pattern for idle tuning, but still bigger = harder to get smooth idle).

for e85 you need a whole lot of fuel so they will be huge and staged injection is nothin i want to dip into really.

is it possible to get a good idle from 4 injectors big enough to flow 700+hp on e85?

i'll switch from my oem ecu to an ecumasterws emu black.

875cc's? Seems small for e85. A lot of subarus in the bay area run Deatschwerks 1300cc+ and idle perfectly fine

i knew guys running 1000CC on 4 cyclinders with no idle issues.

its all about the spray pattern and duty cycle of the injector to meet your hp demands, along with a tuner who knows how to take advantage of it to smooth out the idle.

nah im on pump now with 4x 875's and 500+hp.

Can your fuel pump support it? iirc direct injection fuel pumps are pretty limited even modified.

my current one isnt big enough, but AEM pump can run it. atleast they say that they can run e85.
