I personally love the 3 batter idea/rule with 1 obvious caveat.
The pitcher must face 3 batters, or finish the inning. So if he comes in gets 1 out and ends the inning. Then a new guy can begin the next inning on the mound. Its mostly so we dont get back 2 back 2 back mound changes and waste time.
