yeah, the apple rep goes to the back, unscrews some screws and sees red dot, instantly deduces multiple damages due to water resulting in 1.2k or 2k if screen also needs to be replaced (basically admitting he didnt fully diagnose the problem)
u the kind of ppl support these big corps like bestbuy/apple techs corruption
i bet if he left his laptop there and paid 1.2k , the actual guy fixing it will open up his laptop again and also notices the bent pin. Realizes it's only labor cost + pin replacement fee, but what he gonna do? make his own company look bad, and personally talk to the customer and say btw here's ur refund for 1k. fk dat, the mofo gonna be like not my problem, apple is my employer, i just do what im told, replace "multiple parts" the customer paid for, replace red contacts back to white. HMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
