Its really hard for a comedic actor to stand the 'test of time'... they always hit a wall. Jut look at Carrey, Sandler, Stiller, etc...

At some point they just arent funny anymore. Doesnt mean their good stuff from the past isnt good anymore. Just means its time to stop and let the new guys take over

100% agree.

So much about what makes comedy great is what's going on at a certain point of time. A certain type of humor becomes prevalent, or a certain style etc... but these actors never evolve and when the shtick dies, so does the comedian's ability to get laughs.

Will was never funny.

Except in the other guys, but that's mostly because of how he juxtaposed marky mark.

I loved him in SNL and I found a few of his stupid movies pretty funny when I was younger. I accredit my love of his earlier performances mostly to me being stoned out of my gourd, but I still enjoyed it at the time.

He's not funny but he's an entertaining personality for sure

The only other movies he has been in that I like are Zoolander, but he is barely in it. And old school, but again he isn't really the main focus.

As far as leading role, the other guys.

Many people, myself included, loved Anchorman when it came out. Step Brothers and Talladega Nights are two others that most fans would put well ahead of the Other Guys. The Other Guys was alright, but it never had me laughing hard like Anchorman/Step Brothers did. Again though, I smoked a lot of weed when I watched those lol.

I mean I know a lot of people think those movies were funny. I was pretty young at the time but I remembering school mates loving them. I fucking hated them though. They are so bad and not funny.

The other guys isn't the funniest movie in the world but it has some really funny moments and it's generally an entertaining movie that doesn't make me want to kill myself unlike most of his work.
