Fun fact: given flawed gems and 8 PTs, he would have needed 24 gem shrines. While not leveling.

I'm sold, that WT is off from the start.

I did not read trough the whole thing, but this thing about PTs is bullshit. In normal A1, around first two wps you can find 4-5 shrines if youre lucky. Lets say its 1 minute/run, you find a gem shrine every 10 runs, its 240 minutes of gem farming (320if you start with chippeds). You dont have to kill anything there, just run and maybe use howl.
So this does not prove anything. About the other things I can not say anything, did not follow the whole story.
