Use a windows XP vbox and dedicate like 2 gb ram.

Id like to get it running without a vm, using a vm is basically cheating lol.

but i appreciate the thought, xp is a lot less ram.

GET THE DISC'S AND DON'T REGISTER THE 16 DIGIT KEY AND IT WORKS FINE.

yes you can, you cant use them when they've been resisted on a battlenet account only.
all my installs are 16digit.

none of my 16digit keys can access battle.net and none of them are banned or anything.

i assume you mean keys that have never been registered can still be used, which this isnt an option for me if its the case.

correct, if you have not registered them they still work as intended.
buy another key, i mean there like 5$ online.
