Because my old one is old and big and heavy and needs a new hdd if not other things now and sooner or later
I need it for school... and even then I say the word "need" loosely
I have a desktop but basically just want a laptop for taking notes and having powerpoints on...
general internet research, nothing too heavy
use for word/excel... some video lectures, and maybe youtube etc.
When I'm at home I don't think I'll touch my laptop at all
Is there a reason to not buy a super cheap laptop?
I've never bought one that's super cheap so I don't know how cheap is too cheap.
I see tons of people with macbooks but I just assume they dont have desktops, I cant see what else would warrant something like that...
My old laptop was kind of expensive and I rarely used it, so it felt like a waste of $ but it did last long (8ish years)
Thoughts? Flames? Spam? Thx
Just buy one that has an SSD in it. It will be super fast because it boots up and loads applications fast. If you don't game on a laptop, you can skip the dedicated Nvidia or AMD GPU.
