Hi, A bit of a silly question... if I wanted to add sockets to a unique helm do I have to use the Lazarus quest or can I use the Horadric Cube with 1 Ral Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Sapphire to get sockets? Or are uniques exempt form this?

I believe you mean Larzuk? And yes, his quest is the only way to add sockets to a unique item.

One can however upgrade a unique item’s quality in the cube. For example, upgrading Biggin’s Bonnet from a cap to a war hat, or Vampire’s Gaze from a grim helm to a bone visage.
